Want to keep your Universal Analytics data? We can help.
Why is Universal Analytics Going Away?
Because Google is completing its transition to Google Analytics 4 (GA4). Google rolled out GA4, the latest version of its website analytics platform, in 2023. Since then, many website owners have established GA4 accounts and begun tracking performance in the new platform. Now, Google is enforcing its move away from UA by sunsetting access to data in UA. Soon you won’t be able to access your account (not even via the API)—and all UA data will be deleted July 1st.

What is the Best Way to Back Up Universal Analytics Data?
We recommend our own approach. It’s efficient, optimized, valuable, and low-cost.
In arriving at this conclusion, we examined several options presented by Google itself and options touted by analytics firms. Most of these we found to be either too manual, too costly, not useful—or all of the above.
We’ve done the heavy-lifting and developed a standardized process that extracts the most insightful UA data in a format that makes the most sense for your business and data volume. We can deliver a Google Sheets export of 16 months of historical data, accompanied by a Looker Studio dashboard to make it visual.

Why get help from DOM with saving data from Universal Analytics?
We have expertise in both Universal Analytics and Google Analytics 4. So we can extract UA data and present it in a useful form as you transition to GA4. Our data analysts have optimized hundreds of Google Analytics accounts for our clients. That means we’ve seen fantastic (and rather poor) implementations of Google Analytics. Our analysts incorporate the best and leave the rest. We’ve learned how to sift through the noise of tons of data points, and highlight trends that help businesses make data-driven decisions.
Data must be downloaded before July 1!
